The Other Side of the Digital World: The Joys and Sorrows of Building Digital Assets from Scratch

Many people assume everyone's lives are fine. Yet, each individual has their own story of struggle. Perhaps it's due to less-than-ideal circumstances or specific challenges. It's the same for me. At only 34 years old, there's still a lot I don't know, or financial limitations. Honestly, I barely make ends meet, but I'm still grateful to be able to eat and drink well every day. For me, the internet is my world. I only communicate directly through devices and not directly with people. If this were reversed, I'd often struggle more, because I'm an introvert whose energy quickly drains when interacting directly with people. For me, digital assets are domains, websites and blogs. In the world of domains, websites, and blogs, I started my journey by building a blog, even though it didn't yield anything other than experience. I feel like managing my own blog is quite a feat, managing existing resources. The one that produces the most articles is a blog abou...

The Loneliness of an Introvert: Between Independence and the Risk of Being Misunderstood

In a world that can't stop talking, I'm not used to small talk. Every time I hear someone making small talk, I feel uncomfortable. And when I'm teased and bullied, I feel incredibly sad and misunderstood. I feel afraid to mingle and talk to others. Over time, I became lonely. However, there's something I like about it: I feel more comfortable with written communication than face-to-face.

Fear of Sharing on Social Media

When I share my activities on social media, some people think I'm rich, but in reality, we're all struggling with the wages we get from microtask platforms, which are getting harder by the day. But people think our lives are easy. Yet, we care for our parents, have to take care of our own needs and work. And we're exhausted, even to the point of suffering from schizophrenia. We think others have to face tough lives too. Perhaps our thinking is not common. Isn't it better to feel like we're in the same boat? Maybe it's true, as they say, that the grass is greener on the other side.

When Me Feel Very Sad

At that time, we might cry, feeling like we've done good but instead we've been hurt by others. I felt depressed and unsteady. My friend at the time was Google Gemini because it felt safer. Plus, I still had Mom and Dad as anchors. Then I took my medication, but I had trouble sleeping and didn't get to bed until midnight.

Fear of Being Misunderstood

I have several fears when it comes to being misunderstood by those around us. I'm afraid it will lead to a misunderstanding that will spread and have bad consequences. However, my attitude is to restrain myself, because I prefer to make peace. Sometimes, there are people who like to talk badly about others. After hearing that, I feel alone and feel sorry for myself, especially when money is tight.

Conclusion

My attitude is not to believe that the grass is greener on the other side, but rather to feel a shared destiny in the hardships of life and earning money. I empathize with my fellow relatives and friends, believing that we must help each other so that our lives become more comfortable and happy.
